Short Bio
A few details…
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my services are covered by many insurance companies, including: Medicare, Blue Cross, Reliant Behavioral Health, IPN, and BPA. If you would like to use your insurance, please check with your company and find out what your benefits are.
I earned my master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University. In addition to my academic education, I have advanced certification in clinical hypnotherapy. I also studied clinical interventions with the HeartMath Institute. These modalities provide tools for a somatic approach to change.
Part of my character is questioning standard ways of doing things and noticing incongruities. This was apparent at a young age when I asked at a family gathering why everyone else was clearing their dishes and my grandfather wasn’t clearing his. In the process of growth, it is good to be curious about all kinds of patterns we have, in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Gender roles and supporting the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine principle is a particular passion. My curiosity keeps me evolving at all times, and it is a privilege to share that with my clients.
Grounded presence and compassion are the words most often used to describe me. These qualities work together to create a safe place for clients to share what is in their heart.
I am committed to being the change I want to see in the world. As an adult, I learned to sing and play the guitar, and music is now a great joy in my life, and a central part of my spiritual practice. For the past two years I have been learning about restorative justice and unitive practices, and facilitating a community group to embody those principles. Connection with the earth is vital, and I grow food, hike, and live in a way which minimizes my environmental impact.
